Join the Addison County Chamber of Commerce for the 44th Annual Vergennes Day on Saturday, August 22, 2026 — a beloved community tradition filled with family fun for all ages in the heart of downtown Vergennes.
Start your morning with a pancake breakfast at the fire station, cheer on runners during the Little City Road Race. Enjoy 55+ local crafters and exhibitors, food trucks and the famous Vergennes Lions Club Chicken BBQ, live music on the bandstand and be sure to shop our unique local merchants.
Families won’t want to miss the children’s venues featuring a bubble pit, horse and wagon rides, activities at the Bixby Memorial Free Library & more.

Join Kathryn, Julie, and Stacy for a night of music at Big Heart Social! Their band, The Wildflowers, will be playing original tunes and sing-a-long covers from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Come join us and enjoy the sweet sounds of summer!

Green Mountain Cabaret
Things are heating up at Big Heart Social!
Green Mountain Cabaret and Big Heart Social invite you to a fun-filled night of burlesque, drag, and exclusive food and drinks! Doors open at 7:30pm and event starts at 8:00pm. A suggested donation of $10 is required to enter. Proceeds will benefit a local nonprofit (more details to come soon).
This is an 18+ event. Patrons will need to show valid ID before entering.

Q&A with Michael Kane, Vermont House Candidate
Michael Kane is a Democratic candidate for Addison-3 district. On July 28 from 6-8 PM, get to know Mike over coffee, tea, and conversation. A candidate forum for all three Democratic candidates will happen on July 30 at 7 PM at the Vergennes Opera House.
The Addison County primary for elected offices will occur on Tuesday, August 11.
Clothing Swap
In partnership with Spring Onion Art, we’re hosting a gender-inclusive community clothing swap! Bring clothes you’re ready to rotate out of your closet and find some new favorites to rotate in! We’re keeping it simple: bring what you want, take what you want. As a special treat, we’ll be extending our hours and offering brunch service!
Please only bring clean, wearable clothing you’re ready to let go of. Accessories are also welcome, but no household items, please.
